Baseball Hall of Fame recently announced the NOMINEES for this year, which includes players who have spent time playing for the Kansas City Royals:

The Big 12 Football Championship comes to Kansas City, MO at Arrowhead Stadium on Dec. 6, 2008, with the North Champ Missouri Tigers vs. the South Champ Oklahoma Sooners.  This year marks the 5th time in the conferences 13-season history that Kansas City has hosted the championship game.  Kansas City has hosted more Big 12 football championships than any other city.  Previous games in KC have averaged 74,000 fans with stadium sellouts in 2000, 2003, and 2006. Arrowhead stadium holds the Big 12 championship record for the largest attendance at 80,031 in 2006!  The Big 12 championship moves to Cowboys Stadium in TX in 2009 and 2010.
