Border Showdown at Arrowhead Stadium on Nov. 24, 2007

This is it.  The big border showdown between Mizzou and Kansas football teams. Who would have thought at the first of the season, this final game of the season would come down between these two teams with only one loss between them!  KU at #2 and MU at #3 in the Bowl Championship Series!  Wow!  These two classic rival teams will duke it out for the Big 12 North Title at a neutral site, in Kansas City, Arrowhead Stadium.  KU and MU have not had better years in football for many, many years.  KU has never had a better record in school history (1899).  Be sure to go to or watch this game, as it may never happen again in our live times with these two teams ranked so high at the same time!  Possibly for the National Championship at steak!

This is one of the nations strongest rivalries.  The blood history between the Civil War era Bushwackers and Jayhawkers even laid the ground work for the nicknames of these teams, the Tigers and Jayhawks!  See my College Nickname page for more details on the meanings of these two school nicknames.

KU and MU first met in 1891 at Kansas City Exposition Park in 1891.
